Did you know that we actually have 3 brains: there is the one we all know, in our head, there is a brain in our heart and a last one in our belly. Besides, even if you did not know about it, unconsciously you already knew it. And yes, we use some expressions which evoke this fact “I feel it in my guts” or “the heart has its reason …”.
These 3 brains are autonomous in their operation even if they communicate information between them.
Generally when we take a decision that is not aligned with ourselves, even if it seems logical on the level of the intellect, sometimes our body or our heart tells us the opposite “I do not feel it” , “the head is there but the heart does not follow”.
So the next time you should make a decision and you will feel an imbalance in you, instead of denying it, listen to this imbalance and ask yourself these 3 questions:
- To talk to the brain of the head: “What do I want to say to me about this decision?”
- To speak to the brain of the heart: “What do I feel like emotion about this decision?”
- To talk to the belly brain: “How do I feel in my body facing this decision?”
